Choose one EPUB. The converter checks the package and follows its reading order before building Markdown.

Up to 50 MiB · bounded chapters and assets · one EPUB per run

Stylesheets, scripts, navigation-only pages, and remote resources are handled according to the warning list.

Processing boundary: after you check the consent box and start, this EPUB is sent to the Kivoza conversion service. Temporary input is deleted after success, failure, cancellation, or service shutdown; results stay in memory for up to 10 minutes. Request logs contain no document body. Remote images are not loaded into the preview.

Conversion progress

A short path

Choose, convert, review.

01

Choose

Drop one EPUB or browse for it. The page checks the ZIP package, container, and book manifest first.

02

Convert

Reading order follows the EPUB spine rather than ZIP entry order. Local image assets can stay linked in the package.

03

Review

Check chapter order, metadata, links, and missing or omitted assets in the Markdown preview.

Know the edges

Readable output needs honest limits.

Frequently asked questions

Will the visual book layout be kept?

Markdown keeps chapter content and meaning. Typography, pagination, footnotes, ruby text, and complex layout may need review.

Does it follow the book's chapter order?

Yes. The converter follows the EPUB spine and reports missing or unsupported content in the warnings.

What happens to images?

You can keep local images as assets or omit them. Remote resources are not fetched; omissions stay in warnings.
